Patience is a Virtue

Hello, All!

If you could have only seen how many times the title of this post has changed. I realize I am not one that is super tech savvy, but yet I wouldn’t consider myself completely incompetent. I guess I must be though, because I was having the most difficult time changing some settings which ended up me losing that which I had typed up… which is where I came to either wanting to chuck this lap top across the room or scratch completely this idea of being a blogger !Haha (but, seriously though.) . Anyways let my try to remember what I had previously typed on  my rough draft and try this again.

I hope that you all are enjoying this Tuesday afternoon. It is relatively quiet here in our little home today. Mainly because my little man is taking his second nap for the day( Praise be the Lord!) 🙂  Also please bear with me as my mind is running a million miles a minute, and I will most likely go wondering off as I type. Although it is a quiet afternoon it has been super busy around here with new horses coming in batches by the week to be trained. My husband is well up to “his neck in horses”, but we are thankful for the work God is keeping him busy with. Granted he does have his rough days and ornery horses, but I guess you can’t get away from that in any line of work.

It is interesting to say the least of all the different personalities that these horses have. They are all at this point wound just a bit to tight, but they are learning to calm down with Aiden working them to getting them to be respectful and to use their “thinking” part of their brain.  Do note too that I don’t know Jack Squat on how to work or train a horse, but you can`t help, but feel like you may have a better idea in what goes into all of the hard work of saddle breaking and training a horse,  when you are married to a man that does this for a living as well as him constantly referencing  to the horsemen who have been doing it for years.(Not to mention the many evenings listening to Clinton Anderson or Pat Parelli to name just a few)

We tease about our little guy being into the horse business when he gets older. Its hard telling now since all  that he is interested in,is how much trouble he is able to try and get into before I catch him. He has mastered the crawling as well as trying to figure out how to take his first steps without the aid of his walker. He is keeping me on my toes just like his dad does. Don't get me wrong though, I do love how ornery and energetic my two guys are. Can`t thank God enough for them. They are some of biggest blessings !

It is interesting to me (more like mind blowing) when I stop and think about where I am in my life right now.  How it seems just like in a blink of an eye that I am married, have a child and a home to keep. Just seems like yesterday doing school and thinking that turning 16 seemed like an eternity away. And here I am… over 10 years later being where I had only ever thought could be a dream, and leave it to God to always make a life better than what you imagined possible. Deo Gratias !

Makes me giggle too, thinking of when Aiden and I first met. Looking back although it being only just a little over 4 years ago it seems like we were such kids. I guess that is thanks to the responsibility of being an adult and a parent to boot that makes those years seem so care free when looking back on them. There is the magic of being married as well. Yes, you have those moments sometimes those days, where you will butt heads or the misunderstandings, but as long as you don’t give up on one another you can come up over those “hills” stronger and deeper in love.  Keep on trying and praying and it will never be in vain!

Better get, I hear my little “alarm” stirring in his bed !

Take care and until next time.

“Toodles!”

In our Lady of Fatima,

Beth
