Well it`s been awhile. It never ceases to amaze me just how fast a week goes by. Really a year for that matter !
I don`t remember being this behind in thought process, that this is really November and Christmas is only a little more than a month away! I think its due to multiple reasons for which I am having this brain fart,which I’m going to use the excuse of being older and having a kid, that the retailers make it a point to start doing their Christmas sales pitch way back in July and August, and that time, I swear is only ever going faster!
With that being my reasons (or excuses if you rather) it still doesn’t help how my mind is blown away by just how far behind I really am :`) .
Gee whiz… Don’t get me wrong though, Im anticipating this Christmas more so than usual for the reason being it will be little Mans first and I will have another little sister joining my family! So much joy and excitement !
And on the plus side, even if I don’t get the rest of all my desired Christmas shopping finished, I do have Lil Aiden`s gift .(Thank you Craigslist ;-P haha!)
You know when you aren’t really looking for anything in particular, that that is when you find something you didn’t realize you were needing ! Haha
Such as Lil Aiden`s christmas gift, I just happened to see a rocking horse for sale on one of the second hand pages on FB, and I thought ” Well that would make the perfect gift for Aiden, not to mention that the future little Kramers would get use out of it as well! Win Win!” So got a super nice rocking horse for an awesome price!
I do feel like this can be taboo for so many people… I can see why, but I also feel like it is something silly to be particular over. I don’t believe in giving junk as a gift to someone, but I also think its practical to search out things that are still very nice, although maybe not brand new, to use as gifts. Especially when it comes to your own children. My own perspective on this is that if my kid gets this ridiculous idea that when he or she is given a gift, that if it isn’t the latest and trendiest item, that they’ll have this spoiled attitude about what a gift is really about.
Not to mention some of our coolest Christmas gifts growing up as a kid, were those that my parents had found on Craigslist! When you have a big family, it doesn’t hurt to be smart in terms of gift shopping. 😉
Anyways thats just my thoughts on it, and either way like I said… Im done with my boy`s Christmas shopping... Now for my husband? Pretty sure it wont be as easy. haha
